ExploreFoods - Kuih Chang Making Demonstration

Date: 15 June

Time: 4.00pm

Come celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival) with us by witnessing a demonstration of how to prepare glutinous rice dumplings! Known by Peranakans as Kuih Chang, and recognisable by their bamboo leaf wrapping, they are traditionally eaten during this festival which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, commemorating the death of Qu Yuan, a Chinese poet who lived during the Warring States period. Join Elizabeth as she shares more on how to prepare this delicious treat at home for your family and friends.
