NUS Baba House is a three-storey townhouse located in Singapore’s historic district of Blair Plain. Managed by NUS Museum, Baba House facilitates research into architectural conservation, urban and social history, and cultural hybridity.
The collection
The Straits Chinese Collection consists of furniture, textiles, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, photographs and a variety of other domestic and ornamental objects that provide an insight into the culture and tastes of the Peranakan Chinese at the turn of the 20th century.
