Heritage tours

Heritage tours conducted by NUS Baba House’s volunteer docents introduce visitors to the history of the house, the domestic culture of the Peranakan Chinese and the exhibition on the third floor. Tours last for up to an hour each.

• English tours are held Tuesdays to Fridays at 10 am.
• Mandarin tours are held on the first Monday of each month at 10am

Bookings are essential and as this is a conservation building, each tour is limited to 13 participants.

Guided by researchers and academics, the walking tours of the local neighbourhood take participants through layers of urban changes, introducing aspects of Singapore’s history, urban heritage and society. Landmarks, sites, streets and alleys are re-encountered and remembered through stories which are often untold.
