Our Internship Programme provides opportunities for undergraduate students (both undergraduate and graduate) to gain practical museum work experience, build up professional skills, and gain exposure to museum practice through discussion, visits and practical experience.
Positions are available for students who wish to explore an internship at the NUS Baba House. Here, they will work closely with the Baba House’s curatorial and outreach staff, contributing to on-going curatorial projects, research, outreach and education programmes. Interns will have the unique opportunity to work directly from a house museum, while advancing their research inquiries and contributing to the range of scholarly material related to the Baba House’s thematic interests.
Please visit NUS Museum for more information on applications and availability. You can also read our intern diary to see what past interns have learned.
While Baba House’s internship programme is offered through NUS Museum only during the major vacation periods, NUS students who are interested in working at a museum are welcome to be part of our team all year round.
As a student assistant, you will work on a paid, part-time basis (subject to various scheduling considerations), working closely with the team to receive and take care of visitors, assisting with event management, guest visits and guided tours.
Available positions will be posted on the NUS Student Work Scheme portal.
